Escort requirements are determined based on the following dimensions when traveling on all highways:

  1. Width over 10'6": 1 Chase escort with an oversize load sign.

  2. Width 12' to 14": 2 escorts (Lead & Chase).

  3. Width over 14": Minimum 3 escorts (2 Leads & 1 Chase).

  4. Width over 16": Additional coordination and evaluation are required.

For length considerations:

  1. Length over 85' up to 100": 1 Chase escort.

  2. Length over 100": 2 escorts (Lead & Chase).
