Violating the weight provisions specified in KRS 189.212, 189.221, 189.222, 189.226, 189.230, or 189.270 incurs a fine of two cents ($0.02) per pound for each pound of excess load, when the excess is up to five thousand (5,000) pounds.

If the excess load exceeds five thousand (5,000) pounds, the fine remains at two cents ($0.02) per pound for each pound of excess load, with a minimum fine of one hundred dollars ($100) and a maximum of five hundred dollars ($500).

Violation of KRS 189.950 results in a fine ranging from one hundred dollars ($100) to one thousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisonment in the county jail for up to thirty (30) days, or both.
