On Undivided Highways:

Width over 12'4" to 14'3" requires 1 escort (Lead).

Width 14'4" - 17' requires 2 escorts (Lead and Chase).

Length over 110' requires 1 escort (Lead).

Height over 14'6" requires 1 escort (Lead) with a Height-Pole.
On Divided Highways:

Width over 12'4" to 14'3" requires 1 escort (Chase).

Width 14'4" to 17' requires 1 escort (Chase).

Length over 110' requires 1 escort (Chase).

Height over 14'6" requires 1 escort (Lead) with a Height-Pole.
Superloads & Police Escorts:

A Superload is any vehicle (plus its load) exceeding 17’ in width, 15’ in height, 110’ in length, or 108,000 lbs. in weight.

Superloads weighing less than 134,000 lbs. may require a police escort depending on road conditions.

Superloads weighing 134,000 lbs. or more require a police escort if the route includes bridge slowdowns.

All superloads require a permit issued by the Indiana Department of Revenue (IDOR).

Superloads weighing ≥200,000 lbs. require 4 police escorts.
Superload escorts may occur only Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM, unless it is deemed an emergency movement and such movement is approved by INDOT or IDOR.
