When Escorts are Needed & Number of Escorts:

1. Width:

• 12' or more: 1 escort (Lead off interstate, Chase on interstate).

1. Length:

• 80' or more: 1 escort (Lead off interstate, Chase on interstate).

1. Overhang:

• 15' or more: 1 escort (Lead off interstate, Chase on interstate).

1. Large or Hazardous Moves:

• 2 escorts (Lead and Chase) are required.

• Police escort may also be required for large or hazardous moves.

Super Loads:

• Super load permits are required for loads exceeding the following dimensions:

• Width: 15' or more (except on town highways).

• Length: 100' or more (except on town highways).
